There’s No Quick Fix
A Call To Action
Practice doesn’t make perfect—it makes permanent. CrossFit is hard. Choosing to make diet and exercise a cornerstone of your life isn’t normal in today’s world. For years, MidState CrossFit has been banging the drum for self-responsibility, mentorship, and advocacy—but what does that really mean? Why do we keep showing up, day after day—sometimes ready to crush it, sometimes tempted to take the easy route—but we don’t quit?
Our vision boils down to four words, a positive feedback loop that drives lifelong fitness:
Self-Responsibility → Advocacy → Mentorship → Growth
It Doesn’t Start with Self-Responsibility
Sounds strange, right? But think about it—how many times have you heard someone say:
“I know I should work out, but when I went to the gym, I didn’t know what to do.”
“I thought I had motivation, but when I work out alone, I just can’t stay consistent.”
These people have self-responsibility—they want to change—but they’re missing two critical pieces for success: advocacy and mentorship.
Advocacy: The Power of Peers
Have you ever had a gym buddy? You show up, have some laughs, maybe post a few TikToks, hit the tanning bed, and leave. Fun? Sure. Results? Not really. And when results don’t come, neither does motivation.
That’s why our advocates—your classmates—matter so much. They’re not just workout partners; they’re accountability partners. They show up, they work hard, and they cheer you on because they want to see you win.
Mentorship: More Than Coaching
At MidState CrossFit, our coaches aren’t just there for the workout hour. We’re mentors. We help you build habits, find your “why,” and stay committed—especially when motivation fades (and it will). When life gets hard, we’re in the fight with you. Against chronic disease. Against mediocrity. For a better, longer, stronger life.
This Is the Difference
Have you ever messaged a friend from class—or noticed when someone’s been absent and checked in on them? That’s the magic of MidState CrossFit. That’s what makes us different. And that’s why so many of us have transformed—not just our bodies, but our mindsets and our lives.
It’s not easy. There are no shortcuts. You are Forging Elite Fitness which is earned. And you’re earning it every time you show up.
You have self-responsibility.
You have advocates.
You have mentors.
You have MidState CrossFit.
If you know someone who needs this message, share it with them. Tell them to reach out. Because we want to help more good people change their own fates.
You’re doing the work. Keep going. You’re pretty damn awesome.
